Showcases of applications of digitalized processes
Showcases for Smart Digital Manufacturing
We are developing five showcases to address gaps in smart digital processes and enhance digital maturity in manufacturing. These projects will demonstrate tools and technologies that support sustainable materials, process optimization, and recycling.
Key Highlights:
- Interactive Workshops: Two workshops with companies in the EMR region will co-define the requirements of the demonstrators and gather feedback to refine the tools.
- Smart Monitoring: IoT tools will be applied to 3D printing and aerogel production, optimizing sustainable material processes and supporting recycling strategies.
- Quality Control in Injection Molding: A smart cobot will conduct quality checks on injection-molded parts, improving the use of recycled materials and advancing the process from TRL 4 to TRL 7.
- Smart Adhesives & Digital Instructions: New debondable adhesives and digital instructions via smart glasses will enhance lightweight structure bonding and debonding, progressing from TRL 4 to TRL 6.
- Recycling Carbon Scraps: An AI-driven software will optimize the reuse of carbon scraps in aerospace composites, supported by a regional database, moving from TRL 4 to TRL 6.
An Innovation Day will showcase the progress, while ongoing workshops and feedback will ensure the demonstrators meet industry needs.
