Detailed listing of our products and services

PUR2ISO™
A modular process that turns polyurethane waste into virgin-quality molecular building blocks.PUR2ISO™ is Purtiso’s patented chemical recycling process that converts polyurethane waste cost-efficiently into itsoriginal polyol and isocyanate building blocks without the need for phosgenation.Developed at KU Leuven, the technology enables near-complete recovery of the high-value building blocks invirgin-grade quality, independently verified by industry partners to be suitable for direct reuse in polyurethaneproduction in up to 100% replacement rates. While the PUR2ISO™ process can in principle handle all major PU waste streams, including flexible, rigid, PIR, andelastomers, it is optimally suited for flexible PU foams. The resulting recycled building blocks offer a significantreduction in CO₂ footprint compared to the production of virgin materials.

PUR2Remove™
A selective process that removes elastane from textile waste, unlocking high-quality fiber recycling.PUR2Remove™ is Purtiso's patented chemical process that selectively removes elastane (spandex/Lycra) fromblended textile waste, enabling the remaining fibers to be recycled into high-quality secondary raw materials. Theprocess is universally applicable across all major textile fibers, including PET, PA, PAN, CO, blends,…Developed at KU Leuven, the technology addresses one of the key bottlenecks in textile recycling: the presence ofelastane, which even in small percentages (typically 2–20%) can contaminate recycling streams and degrades thequality of recovered fibers. PUR2Remove™ eliminates this barrier without damaging the non-PU fibers.By leveraging its PU recycling technologies, Purtiso can off-take and valorize the obtained elastane fraction, providing a total solution for textile recyclers. By enabling clean fiber-to-fiber recycling, PUR2Remove™ helpstextile recyclers and brands meet upcoming EU textile waste obligations while improving the economics of textilerecycling.

Development & Industrial Readiness

Name: PUR2ISO™ process
Description: The PUR2ISO™ process has been validated at bench scale (TRL 4–5) and is now being prepared forpilot-scale implementation . Product quality has been independently verified by industrial partners, confirming fullequivalence to virgin feedstocks.Because the process is entirely non-phosgene, it can be safely deployed as a modular recycling unit within existingpolyurethane production sites. This enables PU producers to convert their own industrial waste into virgin-qualitypolyol and isocyanate, creating a closed-loop source of circular feedstock. The upcoming pilot phase will demonstrate continuous operation and process integration, paving the way forcommercial deployment together with strategic partners. Purtiso welcomes collaboration with polyurethaneproducers and technology investors interested in joining the pilot program and shaping the first industrialapplications of the PUR2ISO™ process.
