Engineering (CAD/CAE, Simulation): Plastiqual uses advanced CAD, injection-moulding simulation, and finite-element analysis to design thermoplastic composite parts. Engineers co-develop designs with customers, optimising material flows, wall thickness, and mechanical performance for applications such as tamper-proof calorimeter housings or complex water-softener valves.
Tier 1 / Assembly: The company excels at assembling multi-part thermoplastic composite products. For example, tamper-proof calorimeter housings consist of six injection-moulded parts assembled with clips and laser welding, and are delivered ready to house electronics. VPN router boxes combine casings, light pipes, and labels with laser-engraved markings and custom packaging.
Tier 2 / Part Molding: Plastiqual moulds thermoplastic composite parts using high-performance materials such as glass-fibre-reinforced PA6, POM, PC/ABS, and PEEK. Production ranges from small precision items to large, complex parts like industrial valves produced in multi-drawer moulds with strict tolerances. Applications include UV-resistant sensor covers and impact-resistant tamper-proof housings.
Finishing / Printing: Finishing services cover pad printing, laser engraving, and laser welding. Logos, QR codes, and technical markings are applied via pad printing or laser marking, and transparent windows are welded into housings using laser technology. Overmoulding of fabrics or inserts allows for technical and aesthetic combinations, and products are supplied with customised packaging.
Consulting: Plastiqual advises clients on material selection, design optimisation, and process parameters. They collaborate with customers to define technical requirements and choose the right thermoplastic composites, as seen in the development of the AQA50 valve and in custom projects where they guide material and design choices.
Manufacturing: The company provides full-scale production of thermoplastic composite parts using 100 % electric presses and an in-house tool shop. They manufacture on demand, from daily mini-series to high-volume runs, while maintaining quality through rigorous finishing and control processes. Parts are exported worldwide for applications ranging from electronics to water treatment.
Prototyping: Plastiqual supports customers during prototyping, using CAD and simulation to validate designs and produce small series for testing. Their design office works with clients on prototypes before full production, and they can supply mini-series of customised products like sensor covers to match specific requirements.
Tooling: Plastiqual designs, manufactures, and maintains high-precision injection-moulding tools in its in-house tool shop. The tooling team works closely with the design office to ensure optimal part quality, process efficiency, and tool longevity. Services include new tool development, modification of existing tools, preventive maintenance, and repairs. Using advanced machining and metrology equipment, Plastiqual guarantees that every mould meets the strict dimensional and functional requirements of sectors such as aerospace, defence, and high-end industrial applications
