Process robustness improvement tools in injection molding
Context and Objective:
Using recycled materials in injection molding creates batch variability issues, causing defects and instability. This project aims to develop a control system for injection molding that predicts anomalies by linking process parameters with quality control results, using defect-detection cameras and weight measurements for assurance.
Implementation
- Integration of a transfer robot for moving parts to inspection cell
- Development of an inspection cell
- Processing of samples (with increasing complexity) by injection and data acquisition
